Terms of Service

Draft last updated September 7, 2026

[REVIEW] This draft must be reviewed before launch. Add its effective date and the legal name and address of the person or company providing text2shader.

Agreement

These terms govern your use of the text2shader website and rendering service. By using the service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

[REVIEW] Set the minimum age and any rules for users acting for a company before launch.

The service

text2shader turns a written prompt into an animated scene, including a live web embed and downloadable video. Results can vary, and a render may fail or may not match your prompt. We may change, suspend, or stop parts of the service as it develops.

Your account

You sign in through Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to it secure. Give us accurate information and tell us promptly if you believe someone has used your account without permission.

Your prompts and renders

You are responsible for the prompts you submit and how you use, publish, or distribute the resulting renders. You must have the rights needed for material in your prompts and for your intended use of each result. Results may be similar to material created for other users and may not be unique.

Completed renders are hosted at public URLs. Anyone with a URL can view, copy, or share the render without signing in. The public embed file contains the scene data and shader source. Deleting a render removes its files from our origin storage after any active publication has stopped. When cleanup finishes, its hosted files are no longer served. Copies that other people have already downloaded or reshared are outside our control.

[REVIEW] Confirm who owns prompts, shader source, scene files, and rendered output, and add the license text2shader needs to process, host, and deliver them.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

  • break the law or violate another person's rights;
  • create or distribute malware or other harmful material;
  • probe, disrupt, overload, or bypass security or access controls;
  • access another person's account or data without permission;
  • misrepresent the origin of a render or use it to deceive or harm others; or
  • resell or automate access in a way we have not authorized.

We may reject a prompt or remove a render when we reasonably believe it violates these terms or creates risk for users, third parties, or the service.

Credits, payments, and refunds

Rendering uses credits. The price and number of credits in a pack will be shown before purchase. If a render fails, the service returns the credit charged for that render to your text2shader balance.

Polar processes purchases as the merchant of record and authorized reseller. A purchase is also subject to Polar's Buyer Terms and Conditions and the policies shown at checkout. A returned service credit is not a cash refund.

[REVIEW] Set the cash-refund policy, credit expiration and transfer rules, supported currencies, tax treatment, and any withdrawal or cooling-off rights before paid purchases launch.

Third-party services

The service relies on third parties, including Google for sign-in, Cloudflare for hosting and delivery, OpenRouter and generation providers for processing prompts, and Polar for checkout. Their terms and privacy policies may apply to their parts of the service. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not control.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may limit or suspend access when needed to protect the service, comply with law, prevent harm, or respond to a breach of these terms.

[REVIEW] Add the account-closure process, what happens to unused credits, and any notice or appeal rights before launch.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided as available. We do not promise that every render will succeed, that results will be unique or fit a particular purpose, or that the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

[REVIEW] A lawyer should add enforceable warranty disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity terms, and any required consumer-law exceptions for the operator's jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will post the revised terms here and update the date above.

[REVIEW] Decide how users will receive notice of material changes and when revised terms take effect.

Governing law and disputes

[REVIEW] Add the governing law, venue, dispute process, and any arbitration or class-action terms only after legal review.
